This is Ben Weskalnies
Ben is, first and foremost, a Lighting Techician and Designer.
Graduated from the prestigious Brophy College Preparatory, Ben is currently working on his BA in Theatre at ASU and dipping his hands in all parts of technical theatre. He is also experienced in video production, sound production, camera operation, building scenery/set pieces, and is competent at operating heavy machinery.

Ben got his spark for theatre in his senior year of high school, with his first role being light board operator on his school’s production of Grease. It was then that he found his calling and dove head first into his theatre career. Since then, he has worked all over the Phoenix area at iconic places like the Herberger, Arizona Broadway Theater, and most notably ASU Gammage.
His primary areas of expertise are theatre and live production.

Ben recieved his high school education at Brophy College Preparatory, and joined their joint theatre department with Xavier College Preparatory, their sister school, in his senior year. During Ben’s senior year he worked hands on in scenic construction, lighting installations, and audio calibration. He graduated from Brophy in 2022 with a Deans Award Scholarship for ASU.
Currently, Ben is a senior at Arizona State University, taking a BA in technical theatre(while minoring in Japanese Language Studies) working on school and student productions. He plans to graduate in the Spring of 2026 and already has a part time job with ASU 365 Community Union, but is open to other opportunities, like touring, in the American Southwest or potentially abroad.
